  • Fordham beers

Has anyone tried Fordham beers? I had some Hells Lager in Ocean City Maryland last weekend and was really surprised at how much flavor it had. They make a stout but it was not available in the bar I was in. I am thinking of getting a 1/6 keg of it.

Just curious if anyone has tried it. Does it take the standard US keg coupler?

    Thanks,

    Lou

      Topgun,

I was at Smitty McGees on Route 54. As I said the Fordham was really good. I agree with you about OC.

Fordham beers are made at what may be the finest drinking establishment on the East Coast - The Ram's Head in Annapolis, MD. The owner of the original tavern has continually expanded over the decades...including the expansion to a full brewpub in the mid-90's. The result...Fordham beers. I agree with you on the Helles.

Ram's Head is just off Church Circle in downtown Annapolis, if you ever get a chance to stop by.

They use the "D" stlye (American Sankey) coupler.

Fordham has a brewery in Delaware which is the production brewery and is likely where the Helles you drank came from. The brewpub in Annapolis is great I agree. They also have a Rams Head in Rehobeth Beach a block or two from the Dog Fish Head brewpub. I have a place in Ocean City and maintain a kegerator there. I keep two sixtels and one is generally a Dog Fish Head beer. Their production brewery is in Milton, Delaware about 10 miles from Rehobeth. If you are in OC it is not too far to drive up to Rehobeth. About 20 miles. Last time I was in Smitty Magees they only had crap macro beers. Good to see they had something drinkable there.
